The defending Champion, Athalon, is turning up the heat on the competition. Athalon took home last nights victory at Phoenix International Speedway for his second in a row.
This week, the Radical Sportscar Series heads to Road Atlanta for the Petit Le Mans. Join us this Sunday, the 23rd to see if anyone can stop the Champion.
This week, the 2008 seasons of the Wednesday Night Sprint Cup and the Tuesday Night Auto-Zone Series concluded at Talladega, and the finishes to both races had spectators guessing all the way to the finish line.
Fuel was an issue for the leaders at the end of Tuesday Night's race. All of the top 5 either ran out of gas or had to pit for fuel, but Highline had enough momentum to run out on the final lap and coast across the finish line for his second victory of the year.
Fuel strategy was thrown out the window after a late caution Wednesday Night, leaving the top 4 with a 10-lap shootout to the finish. By the end, all of the top four had someone else's paint on their car, but Maddux was able to keep the competition at bay to win at Talladega.
