Kyle Wylde walked away from the field on a final restart to win the WNSC race at Rockingham this Wednesday, and took over the points lead in the process. Athalon came in second again, due to a bad pit adjustment, and Chris Britt took the third position, saying that he forgot how many laps were left and never made a charge to the front.
Athalon was finally able to seal the deal Friday night and get a win at Rockingham. Late in the race Chris Britt and Schwally tangled in turn 1 and allowed Athalon to sneak by right as the caution came out with only a few to go, and cruised to a victory after a green/white/checkered finish.
Next week is USA International Raceway, but they closed that track. How's this going to work?

Hawk Hudson walked away from Rockingham Motor Speedway last night with at least one thing to smile about for the week: a win. Hawk Hudson brought the Scent-Lok Chevrolet home with a win, by outlasting a race-long battle with KyleWilde, and holding off Athalon's late race charge.

Chris Britt started the second session with a bang by winning the Tuesday Night race:
He also won a wacky race on Wednesday night, after MW overheated, Athalon wedged his car into the wall, MW blew an engine, Kyle sped on pit road, and the field ended up getting spaced apart by about 10 seconds each. Through all the wild stuff, Chris was able to do what Jdirr failed at last time: win a race at Daytona on fuel mileage.

Chris Britt wins the session finale for the Tuesday Night Auto Zone Tune Up Series
MW wins the Wednesday Night Sprint Cup session finale.
Congratulations to Athalon (Tuesday & Wednesday nights) and Viper (Night Riders) on their session 1 championships. The next sessions will start the week of July 28. (NOTE: Championship pics will be posted sometime in the next few days.)

Three different corners, three different winners, three different manufacturers. For the second time this year (First was the summer race at Daytona), three different manufacturers won the three races for the week.
During the Tuesday Auto Zone Series race, it was PRO_86Low's show. He survived a late-race melee among the top five to keep the PRO streak alive.
Wednesday night's race saw Uman and Chris Britt crash out early, leaving Athalon to run the final 36 laps alone to make an official race.
Friday night was similar to Wednesday, Viper and Mikeman swapped the lead 9 times among themselves, but Viper was able to hold on and win, giving the Dirr brothers a win each.
Next week is Rockingham, the final race of the first session.
